Volunteering is a great way to support the park, get involved and make a difference. We have several regular volunteer groups you can join depending on our interests. If you have something more specific in mind or would like further information please email the office: firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01223 420060
The park runs a regular drop-in volunteer session on Thursday mornings from 9am - 12pm. You can join the duty ranger to take part in a variety of practical outdoor projects around the park which have a habitat management and conservation purpose.
Milton Country Park Community Orchard Project
The orchard volunteers maintain the park's community orchard and meet monthly, usually on the first Sunday of the month at 10.30am. Work parties vary and include maintenance and general gardening, planting, bee-keeping and running the apple press for the popular Autumn Festival. They also organise activities such as pruning workshops and species counts. For more information please visit the orchard page or sign up for news below.
The park has a busy events programme and is often in need of volunteers to help on the day. Volunteers can help with many different activities such as marshalling, manning information points, running stalls, helping bankside during water activities, carrying out surveys, preparing the site and packing down at the end of the day. There is always a great atmosphere during an event and it's a fun way to get involved and meet new people. You can also offer your services as a corporate team and promote your good work in the process! If you would like to help at our next event please sign up to the volunteer newsletter below. Thank you!
