Forest Activities

The Wild Place is Milton Country Park's main Forest School, bushcraft and outdoor education location. We host a varied program for all ages. All sessions are run by experienced and qualified staff.​

​

Sessions operate in all weather apart from high winds so please ensure everyone attending is appropriately attired for British weather! Waterproof top and bottoms alongside lots of layers and appropriate footwear such as wellies are recommended.

Wild Beginnings - 2h Block Booking

  • Toddlers and Preschoolers from walking - school age.

  • Non-walking accompanying siblings free.

  • Mornings: 9:30-11:30 Mondays (Full) & Fridays (Full) 

  • New term starts 6th Jan 2025 to 4th April 2025 with a week off for half term 17th-21st Feb 2025

Sessions Full

​Wild Beginnings is our term time Forest School ‘Stay and Play’ group for preschoolers.  Come and explore the outdoors during our sessions in the Wild Place. Running with the Forest School ethos of holistic development and connecting with nature, our sessions encourage learners to grow as they explore. Our child led environment includes mud, bugs, craft, fire lighting, swings and more. A snack will be provided each session. Everything tastes better in the outdoors! Adults can meet like-minded people and discover things to do in the outdoors with children, both during and outside sessions. Non-walking accompanying siblings are free, a space must be booked for all walking children. Sessions are block booked for the term. Please join our waiting list for priority as spaces become avaliable

​Come to our stay and play session for pre-schoolers over the holidays and spend time in nature within the Wild Place at Milton Country Park. These child led sessions will feature nature inspired activities, craft and play. ​ Please wear clothes suitable for the outdoors as you might get wet and muddy. Parent or guardians must remain with their children in the Wild Place area at all times. ​ We will provide a snack for the children and tea and coffee will be available for the adults. ​ 2h one-off stay and play session. All walking children must have a space booked
