Waterbeach Lake

Cambridge Sport Lakes Trust is also operating on Waterbeach Lake for selected days this year. Come along for exclusive access to the lake, either for a swim or on a board.​

Access to the lake for these activities is only at these times and through booking with CSLT.

Situated within the new Waterbeach development, the lake offers a different experience from Milton Country Park. More to explore and different wildlife make this lake a hidden gem, only available to swim and board on a few set dates this year.

​

Sessions will take place on the third Sunday of the month: 19th May, 16th June & 21st July 

​

Swim session will operate from 10-11am

Paddleboard tasters will run from 11.30-12.30

Open Water Swimming​

Public swim sessions are operated through NOWCA. For the best prices, please book through the ACTiO app or at https://actio.nowca.org/venue/334

​

Waterbeach Residents, please book a guest session using your discount code whether you are NOWCA or not.

​

Swimming will be from 10-11am 

​

The course is expected to be around 400m in length, with the ability to shorten your route as needed. There is emergency egress along the near bank all the way along the course. 

​

Tow Floats are mandatory for all swimmers.

​

Please remember to swim responsibly and be mindful of others. 

​

Paddleboarding Taster

Our 1h paddleboard taster sessions will get you on a board and exploring the near parts of the lake. These sessions are fun, friendly and designed for all abilities. 

​

No previous experience is necessary, all equipment provided

​

Reduced price sessions are available to Waterbeach Residents

Getting Here

​

Drive: Enter the site from the A10 Roundabout junction and park in the sustainable transport hub.

 

The lake is a short walk down between the Cala show homes and is visible from the hub

​

Walk or Cycle: Pedestrian and cycle access is available from Denny End Road. Follow the road up past the gatehouse and around the back of the sports hall. You can then turn left to cut across the runway to the lake.
