Friends of Milton Country Park

The Friends of Milton Country Park was created in 1993 at the same time as the park, with the aim of promoting education, conservation and recreation.  Over the years the Friends have organised activities, raised money, and volunteered in a number of ways, including running stalls at park events, surveying visitors, building bird boxes and planting trees.  The Friends have contributed towards the total costs of several additions to the park including the 'Parkrun' steps, the community orchard and the Dickerson's Pit viewing platform.

Milton Country Park is managed by registered charity, Cambridge Sport Lakes Trust and only has a small number of staff.  The Friends of MCP make a valuable contribution by supporting and organising events and activities which raise vital funds for the park's running and maintenance costs.  There are plenty of opportunities to get involved and the organising committee welcomes new members and fundraising ideas.
