Kids at the Fest!

The Autumn festival is nearly upon us!  It looks as though the sun is going to shine (yes really!) and we have a packed line-up for you!  If you're bringing the kids there is plenty to keep them happy all day long with wild outdoor adventure and magical woodland fairies and pixies galore.
Let their imagination go wild in the park!!  Dressing up is actively encouraged!

Vital Spark Theatre Workshops
Exploring all the fun of an outdoor space by combining movement, drama, music and craft and a hint of woodland magic!
Where: In the playground (entrance to sunclock)

Right Side Up Circus
Unleash your inner clown, learn some circus skills and amaze your friends!
Where: At the hay play before Remembrance Meadow

Creative Movements
Meet enchanted fairies and woodland creatures mingling at the fest then join them in the Enchanted Forest from 2-3pm for story-telling with role play and movement.  
Where: Roaming all day then in the Orchard from 2pm-3pm

Cost: FREE (aimed at 2-6 year olds).

Wild Thyme and Embers: Bushcraft Sessions
Bushcraft for all ages including whittling, shelter building, making bows and arrows, fire starting challenge and interactive stories!

Book a ride on a hovercraft and get a chance to feel what it’s like to be part of their medical teams out in Madagascar.  Fly across Dickerson's lake and see the park from a whole new perspective!

Miniature Steam Train
So popular last year, Milton Country Park is again playing host to a lovely miniature steam train Where: Remembrance Meadow

Canoe Safari
Follow a trail around Todd's Pit lake and explore the lakes Canadian style!  
Where: Todd's Pit from the pontoon
How: Book in advance online or at the main entrance on the day *these sessions sell out early.
Cost: £10 per boat (2 adults, one child or one child two adults. Age 4+)

Facepainting & Glitter
Find Glitterbugs in the play area!

Wood Craft Folk
Make and take home Viking braiding and friendship bracelets with the Wood Craft Folk!

Cost: FREE

30 minute taster fishing sessions run by FPAS.  Have a go and see what you can catch!  Supported by the Environment Agency with their large fish tank which will be filled with the fish caught during the sessions.

Pond Dipping
Find and learn about the mini-beasts living in Deep Pool! Sessions run by the environment agency

Paddle Boarding
Have a go at SUP (stand up paddleboarding) on the lake and pretend you're in Hawaii!

Apple Pressing
Help the orchard volunteers chop their apples with their bike-powered apple scratter!
Where: The Orchard

Cost: FREE donations for the freshest juice you could possibly taste!

Produce Show
If you're a budding Bake Off contestant, gardener, photographer or crafter then enter the Produce Show for a chance to win a trophy!  
Where: Upstairs in the Visitor Centre

Pets as Therapy
Meet the animals that make people feel better!

We will also have a wide range of delicious food to try, craft stalls, live music and colourful characters to meet!
