visitor centre

The Visitor Centre is located at the southern end of Todd's pit. It's a curious building of three half floors, with the middle, mezzanine floor opening out onto a balcony overlooking Todd's which is undoubtedly its finest feature.

You can also access the balcony without going through the centre via steps and a ramp on the east side of the building

The top half floor and mezzanine together are open plan and there's a kitchenette in the corner the top floor.

On the ground floor there's the café, public toilets, and the rangers' office along with various private rooms for the rangers.

Within the centre there are also two community access points run by South Cambridgeshire District Council where you can access the Internet for free.

For the disabled there's a chair lift up the steps to the mezzanine and there's an internal ramp from the mezzanine to the top half floor.

You can hire the Visitor Centre for your event - you can find details and a booking form on the Cambridge Sport Lakes web site.
