This workshop is organised by 'Of Plants and People', it covers walking the land, getting to know the plants, foraging for ingredients, and medicine making. There are two parts to the course: in the morning a plant-identification walk and foraging expedition, with a herbalist's eye-view of common wild plants, and the afternoons will cover techniques and recipes for extracting the medicine from the plants you have collected. read more ...

Saturday May 19th: Free Sport Makers Session

LIVING SPORT, the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Sports Partnership are delivering a programme called Sport Makers for people aged 16+ and they are running a workshop and taster session on Saturday 19th May from 10am to 12 noon at Milton Country Park. It is a great opportunity for people to be part of the London 2012 legacy and encourage people to make sport happen in their community. read more ...

Saturday 28th April: RSPB bird ringing demonstration

Staff from the RSPB will be holding a bird ringing demonstration at Milton Country Park on Saturday 28th April. They will set up near the north end of the Park (ask at the Visitor Centre for directions). Come along any time between 10:30 and 12:00 to find out how ringing helps with bird conservation, learn more about the birds that use the Park, and hopefully see some birds being ringed and released (weather permitting - ringing can't be done in heavy rain). It's a rare chance to meet some of the Park's birds up close!

Easter Sunday follow the Park's Easter Trail.

We've hidden local organisations around the Park, children must find their stalls to claim their treasure.

These groups are all associated with the Park, and will have a mixtures of demonstrations, and displays, plus eggs for you to collect.

Turn-up and start between 2pm and 3pm.

Sunday 26th of February: Build a Birdbox

Sunday 26th of February is the Birdbox building Event Milton Country Park. Come along, and build a wooden birdbox to take away and put up in your garden. Turn up at the visitor centre from 10:30am to 3:30pm, £7.50 per box made. read more ...
