This workshop is organised by 'Of Plants and People', it covers walking the land, getting to know the plants, foraging for ingredients, and medicine making. There are two parts to the course: in the morning a plant-identification walk and foraging expedition, with a herbalist's eye-view of common wild plants, and the afternoons will cover techniques and recipes for extracting the medicine from the plants you have collected. read more ...

Staff from the RSPB will be holding a bird ringing demonstration at Milton
Country Park on Saturday 28th April. They will set up near the north end
of the Park (ask at the Visitor Centre for directions). Come along any
time between 10:30 and 12:00 to find out how ringing helps with bird
conservation, learn more about the birds that use the Park, and hopefully
see some birds being ringed and released (weather permitting - ringing
can't be done in heavy rain). It's a rare chance to meet some of the
Park's birds up close!
