How to join an event and what will it cost? Places are limited on some events, so please book and pay for your place by any dates shown. Events at the park are run by park staff or other experienced leaders, charges for events vary because of this. To book an event, please call 01223 420060.
What to wear Most events take place outdoors so please wear clothing and footwear that is appropriate for the weather and ground conditions at the time.
Children and events Children are welcome at park events with some aimed at children and some at adults or families, if unsure please ask. At all events please ensure that under 16's are accompanied by an adult at all times.
Cancelling events Very occasionally we may need to cancel an event at short notice. We will try to contact everyone who has booked to inform them of this. We reserve the right to cancel an event if we have received no bookings or if bad weather is forecast.
Events in green are run by Cambridge Sport Lakes Trust (CSLT).
Events in navy blue are run by The Friends of Milton Country Park.
Events in purple are collaborative events between CSLT and partnership organisations.
Events in light blue are hosted by Milton Country Park, but run by a partnership organisation.
Regular Events
Cambridge Parkrun Timed 5k run around Milton Country Park every Saturday at 9am.
This event is free and open to all ages and abilities. New runners are asked to register with Parkrun before their first event. This event is organised by volunteers, "whether you are a complete novice looking to get yourself started on your own 'running journey' or a seasoned athlete wanting to use this as a part of your training schedule, you're welcome to come along and join
Buggyfit A regular, Tuesday morning, outdoor fitness group for mums with babies, at 11am.
This is national scheme, see - the ultimate postnatal exercise class, takes place on a Tuesday morning in the park. Mums must have been cleared to exercise by their GP typically after 6 to 10 weeks. The class comprises a cardio-vascular workout as well as appropriate and safe core stability and body conditioning exercises, 11.00 - 12.00 everyone welcome. The group then meets up for a healthy lunch at Cafe Diem. See website for more details. Note there is a charge for this event
Healthy Walks A regular, Tuesday afternoon walk guided group walk around Milton Country Park.
Milton Country Park is an accredited member of Natural England's Walking for Health scheme which aims to encourage people, particularly those who take little exercise, to do regular short walks in their communities. Take a guided walk around the Park in a small friendly group, Tuesday afternoons, meeting at the visitor centre at 2pm.

Seasonal Events
Nordic Walking Taster sessions, Weekly walks and "Learn to Nordic Walk" Courses.
Nordic Walking is an enhancement of ordinary walking - it uses poles to involve the upper as well as the legs. Contact the organiser Fay Durrant for details.
