Deep Pool is really part of Dickerson's, being separated by the main part by an two spits of land connected by two bridge and a small island.

It's called Deep Pool because it's the deepest part of the old gravel working and was a popular place to swim in the days before the Park was created and swimming was banned. There is allegedly still machinery still lurking in the depths.
